Harvest Services FAQ

Straight answers to common questions about our full custom harvesting crews, including chopping, packing, bagging, swathing, and silage trucking.

What areas do you cover for harvesting?

We work with dairies, feedyards, and growers across the Central and Southern United States. Larger-acreage jobs may allow us to travel farther—send us your location and acres and we’ll let you know.

Do you offer full custom harvesting or individual services?

Both. We operate as a full custom harvesting crew, handling everything from swathing through trucking. We also step in for individual services such as chopping, packing, bagging, or silage hauling when needed.

How far in advance should we schedule harvest?

Earlier is always better. Most customers secure their window weeks ahead of harvest. If timing is uncertain, we can pencil you in based on crop stage and finalize dates as you get closer.

What crops do you handle?

We commonly handle corn silage, sorghum, small grains, and other forage crops fed at dairies and feedyards. If you’re running something outside the norm, we’ll confirm equipment fit before scheduling.

How is chopping, packing, and trucking priced?

Pricing is typically per ton or per acre, depending on crop type and service mix. Job size, haul distance, field conditions, and fuel are all factored in. You’ll get clear numbers up front—no surprises at the end.

What happens if weather slows things down?

Weather is part of harvesting. Rain and mud don’t scare us—we communicate, adjust the plan, and keep crews moving whenever conditions allow while protecting feed quality and field conditions.
